The smaller ribbon ring attachment is incorrect.........
Ss 8 year service medal appraisal
Regards,
Steve.
I'm not seeing a ridge on the suspension loop? Plus, what is the medal made of? The shot of the edge makes it look like it's bronze finish over a silvery metal? The veins on the leaves do not look right either. Not the quality that you expect to see on a Deschler and Son medal. I'm sorry, but this is definitely not one that looks right. I would recommend returning it if possible. Did it cost much?

"Much that once was, is lost. For none now live who remember it."
This is a post war fake produced by the company of Robert Souval from at least the early 1970's. Note the coarse bubbled texture of the background, the exaggerated thorns on the wreath and the completely wrong wreath band. As mentioned already, the suspension ring is wrong and the actual reproduction of the lettering is quite frankly a joke. Sorry to be so forthright, but a quick search here or elsewhere would have saved you from picking up this awful fake.

We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
