Article about: Does not conform to Bw regulations of any kind. Very depressing silly uniform along with "sculls" threads, to be sure. To balance the misery aroused by this thread, some authentic

The link to this, posted reply by Mark, he is full of bull, he never threatened with dogs, I never threatened him. I posted on craigslist, and took this down, I'm young trying to learn the reals from the fakes and appreciate it when the "Experts" are kind when enlightening those willing to learn. When you act mean towards newbys and slam their post with very childish responses it sours the hobby/collecting. Anyways Thanks HPL2008 for his response it was greatly appreciated, I was just truly ashamed of what a elaborate fake it was and how convincing the vet who sold it to me was. Thanks again I want to learn

ID:	246901My aim is to serve. In fact, we have all been tricked at a decisive and fateful moment. In my time, ca. Nineteen sixty seven, the thing was a redyed Bundesgrenzschutz uniform from the Studio Breuer in Muenchen. It became the first step on a long, painful and stone laden path to the present......

ID:	246965The fakes are legion, but we have provided many authentic examples. None of which existed before me as a young tyke in 1966 or 1967 when I stumbled into all of this.....
Today, the technical means enable a kind of knowledge and insight that was unthinkable, impossible, and undreamed of in my youth.
And it costs the pennies for the electricity and the few ducats to run the computer...and the time and effort to make sense of the images, such as they are....

Why thank you Glenn....the early BW tunics especially those with piping around the collar are now not only getting rare, but desirable, (and worth more in their original state than converted, if only the fakers were aware !) it a great pity that the fate of many a BW hat and tunic ends up as a fake TR item ! (I always thought they made poor fakes anyway !).

    Prost ! Steve.
