Re: SS Sleeve Eagle: Authentic Piece?
Thanks, guys. Yes, Nick...the price did have me very skeptical. It's just hard because this seller has always been very honest... He has many, many authentic items and guarantees everything he sells or money back. I don't think he collects TR militaria personally, though...mostly WWI and American Civil War so perhaps it is just that he is unaware and undereducated in this domain. As a litmus test I will let him know and we'll see what happens.
Anyways, thanks for the feedback, all
Best,
Adam

Re: SS Sleeve Eagle: Authentic Piece?
we all hope to find high-end items with low-end pricing,,,sometimes it happens, but it is getting increasingly infrequent to find low or reasonably priced items anymore...even street sellers have wised up and want as much, and many times, more than a collector/dealer would offer them for...

this is an area of TR collecting knowledge I haven't ventured into yet
As always Adam, before venturing into any area - but especially SS collecting - it is so important to do your homework first.
The prices of SS related militaria are very high and therefore mistakes will always be costly.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....
