I have never seen this Dachau type in a wartime photo.
I think they were made for new recruits in 1945, but never issued from the stores.

Our Scottish colleague has wonderful material for a history of the death's head in Germany and surely beyond. I am sure that with your new found "Muse" you will astonish us with your findings. Many thanks for all the images and the kind aid.
You think that was the same as the Russian St Georges cross?
But I\ve seen on picture in Russian archieves with the tab being worn ( ST Georges) If I will find the file in the computer, after the totatl crash- will post it here. But as I remember, I've seen the period pictures being worn this TK tab, ( but after your words, I'm not sure)

The types shown below are often seen in wartime photos.............but these are NOT the Dachau types!
The Dachau type is definitely original...........but i just think it was never issued, just kept in storage.
Yep, early sculls- IMHO looks like a hand embroidered sculls. I mean 1944 year....
