ss tunic help

Hi guys i might be about to make myself look really stupid but whats the difference with tunics apart from insignia , are heer and ss made differently, sorry but i dont know zilch on these things, cheers Dave

Hi Dave, not a stupid question and never be afraid to ask!

The Waffen SS obtained plain un badged tunics through the Heer supply system, so these are just the same in cut and design. Later the SS started manufacture of their own tunics though the KL camp system. These had two holes not three for the belt support hooks and a slightly different lower internal lining.

Look at the RB number for starters

Count the amount of numbers.

To be brutally honest that one is junk. "SS BW" in a cap in not a good sign.

Sorry Dave that this tunic didn't turn out to be good.

I'm a BeVo bird guy and wanted to post this about the bird on this tunic. I've compared a known newer generation fake to the one on this tunic and a original bird. Although these birds come in several variation this one compares identically to the fake bird.

Keep looking and learning my friend.
