The tab and tresse not good Richie, I never saw that kind of scull on original tabs. Probably our other specialists who saw them much more than me will say us more

I was waiting for someone else to chip in Dimas, but I believe you are 100% correct. The tunic may be real, but the tress, skull, and boards look wrong, to be honest, the skull looks like its giving a sly smile, I keep thinking its winking at me
Below is what I would expect to see

No mate, a vertical one, ultra rare!

Here's a "Pumpkin Head" one, see the difference, neither of them are giving that silly smile

No problem fellas... I too would not go NEAR this stuff, even if I were a millionaire. Unless I had a time machine so I could go back and strip some German POWs. Or, in this case, get a few prewar guys all liquored up and roll them, Brooklyn style - just for their uniforms...

Even though; IMO , I can not understand such presumptions going by these lousy photos...

I'll request some more comprehensive ones.

I would not believe this tunic, for several reasons, clincher is it having the very rare (temporary award) cuff title under the rare skull title, a little to much. I have seen this same thing done to a fake TK pz wrap, and sold for big bucks, until the seller got caught, and naturally all of it was fake.

I wouldn't dismiss the tunic straight away, some of the insignia, yes, but the tunic no. I'd love to see the cuff title, and the interior

I have no doubt the tunic itself is real, looks like the standard army issue, which the TK did use in the early days. The important things, worth money, are what I believe are bad. When it's too good to be true, it probably is!

I cannot speak to this piece without seeing it, as SS TV material is especially rare. However, all the other SS pieces of this man have been wholly authentic and quite in order. I am not an expert in grey uniforms, and the chances of finding authentic SS TV material of this kind is quite remote, as you people know. However, as a collector of this material (SS caps and tunics) for about forty three or four years, I have been very impressed with this man's pieces. His black general's cap and the early black officer/enlisted cap are so exceptional that one can make allowances for a slip up of this kind. I can also imagine that the extra wear Uniformeffekten got put on the grey uniform at some point, but I shall defer to the expertise of others in SSTV material. His Allgemeine SS officer's uniform from Duesseldorf is also quite real, actually, but not as rare as these field uniforms.

Also, this piece is not from the SSVT, but the SSTV....

a piddling, but no less historically significant point.
    damit, basta.

I'd have to say that the difference re insignia of VT vs TK recognition is more than piddling in rarity and value.
