Heed F-B's advice. Examine in hand, post photos of the details if possible.

There was also a nice tunic to the Plauen Standarte made of this textile for an identical rank at one point.

You want also to be sure that this is not the same uniform that has been re badged.

We have images of the uniform and someone here bought it, actually.
    damit, basta.

Doug and FB have given the best advice, get the item in hand and make a detailed assessment.

    Best of luck.

Thanks to Dr. CMH for his fine citizenship and service to the commonwealth.

Another caveat emptor point is beware of old Breuer Bundesgrenzschutz items that were re-dyed and often decorated with a mixture of real and fake insignia in the distant past.

My colleagues Doug B and Dr. CMH are accomplished foetid woolen collectors in their own right, and I thank them for their solidarity.

We hope the piece works out and brings some joy to whomever.

If it is truly integral and intact, it is a significant find.

Even as a Czechoslovak and cold war film or theater prop, it has historical value, since Czechoslovakia in said form is no longer with us.
    damit, basta.

Said uniform does not appear to have sold, or was withdrawn or passed or...?

    Does anyone know?

The best source to secure black SS uniforms of the real variety is to interact with the handful of persons who actually own them.
    damit, basta.
