    Default SS visor cap, thoughts?

I have what looks like a Waffen SS infantry officer's visor cap, I'd like to know what your thoughts are on authenticity and value of it. It is missing the sweatband d and the badges, but otherwise is in pretty good condition overall.

Pics should be attached, hopefully none were turned around when uploading.

We have many fine examples posted on the Forum of original caps-you might want to give a quick search a try and see what you can notice?

Thank you, I have looked over many posted on here and I think mine is a good one. I just want a second opinion on it. I've been thinking about selling it and I want to know for sure. Could you tell me a rough idea of the value on one missing the sweatband and badges? I've never seen them missing the sweatband.

While there is little profit for me, mind you, in being direct, your cap is a below average fake. In fact, it is essentially worthless, as it has been defaced to remove
the outstanding signs that it is fake: the whacky maker's mark on the sweat diamond and the thick, heavy sweat band.

I am sorry. Look in Mr. Mint's Latvian caps in the fake rubric.

I can't tell a difference between them to be honest, other than the lighter color of the bottom of the visor bill. Aside from that and what is missing from mine, the rest of it looks the same to me even looking closely at the details. What am I missing?

    4. peak, lacquer work
    5. prominently torn out tell tale give away of cello rhombus as well as dorky sweat leather.

I have collected these caps more or less since the end of the 1960s.

Your cap is related to this stinker.

Not to be insulting, but....if you put the 2 side by side and you Still can't tell the difference...well....it May be abit dangerous for you to be collecting in this particular hobby...
