I read this thread from beginning when this cap was first posted..until the very end when it was bought. The Information posted by our esteemed and Advanced colleagues as usual....is exemplary to the very minute detail.

Could the thread continue on its researchable course? .... ( MINUS ) further information about the sale...or the person who bought since the deal was sealed and item bought.

Let this thread continue as long as it remains within the realm of the cap ..and the producers outlined above in prior posts. All further unrelated posts will be soft deleted..if it is not constructive to the topic.

    Regards Larry

A friend of mine bought the cap. He is well experienced SS collector. I own quite a few of these caps, truth be told.

ID:	966175The cap originally had the small party eagle and then the later 1935/6 variant. You can see the holes on the seam
    along the vertical axis.

Thank you F-B for the further images of this cap. While I certainly don't have enough experience with these early caps to make a certain judgment on this one. (My first reaction was positive) I do however respect your opinion which carries decades of first hand knowledge. I don't think it should be dismissed so quickly. I also don't think we should have to put up with name calling or active work to undermine respected forum members.
