I would be disinclined to buy this object.

I own an SS whistle, actually. I have an old picture of it, which I have to find. This kind of whistle is quite different, which I am not sure what it means. I bought a whistle similar to the one pictures in a hunting good store in Vienna recently.
I have tens of thousands of pictures, and they are not well organized.
I highly doubt the SS would put their stamp on something as insignificant as a whistle. I would pass.
I've seen these before without any markings, referred to by the dealer as an
'HJ whistle'. The first one I saw came with a short, knotted black lanyard
attached which had a little loop at the other end.........

Steve.
Dimas posted this, which is more or less identical to mine. Mine has a black lanyard. I cannot find the old picture. Mine is on a uniform, and hard to photograph. This image is from Dimas' thread on the markings of SS equipment which compliments my thread on the RZM tags as found on SS regalia. I got said whistle with a Sta.81 uniform, which was complete. The collector who secured same was a leading collector of black SS helmets who has since moved on to other climes.
I would expect a metal whistle as is the one shown by our colleague FB. Fake RZM marked wood whistles have been in the market now for around ten years.
