Hi Jan, sorry these are bad.
Original are die struck and not cast.
Cheers, Ade.
Thanks Ade

The seller insists on them beeing original. He claims that part of the officers wanted these with a gold overlay (like the ones he has for sale)and therefore they had top be cast and that some officers even wanted these in pure gold. Whats your honest opinion. To me it sounds very strange to have this kind of variety in insignas??

Nice story, but Ade is correct. They don't even look like originals
I don't think that some of the period soldiers or officers noted to theyr straps such a carefully as we - collectors, even they never thought about the material used on the Ziphers on their shoulder straps.
Secondly- 3rd Reich was not a rich country in the jewelry used by peoples.

Hi Jan, John and Dimas are correct: these are still bad no matter what story he tells you.
Cheers, Ade.
I have met a number of DF Officers at reunions in Austria and none of them ever mentioned wanting or having pure gold ciphers , a nice story i think
