Totenkopf cap button... real or fake?

Thanks Rommel... yes, I don't know anything about these buttons at all but I was thinking much the same... the front somehow looks fake... and the back, although it looks old and well worn seems to have rather a lot of markings just for a button... still not sure though... Cheers, Hansi

Generally, of the ones I've seen, the skull on true buttons, while trying to emulate visor cap skulls, don't quite look like them. This button, however, looks nothing like any skull I've seen. I'd have to say it's fake...
