You made a good choice. The first example has an "eyebrow" and a swastika that fills the wreath; both characteristics that have favor with advanced SS insignia collectors.

2 different makers with different "styles" but very fine original eagles. I would buy both in a heartbeat.

Personally, I prefer the lower eagle. The inner wing feathers are so nicely defined by the black thread, whereas they're rather blocky on the upper eagle...
