Unknown medal SS? Help.

Hey everyone,
My friend in Athens, Greece picked up this medal but we both have no idea what it is but it is dated "1941" This is the only picture he gave me. Sorry for crappy detail.

From what I can see in this photo, it appears to be a post-war fantasy badge incorporating design elements of a WW1-era aviation badge with a skull.

It is definitely not a German WW2-era badge and has definitely nothing to do with the SS.
