    One learns every day!
The bird, the sunwheel and wolfsangel are very commoun to Flemish periode insigna's too, I remember them often home made, some times in wood, to ornate NS youth organisations uniforms.
I was convinced such pin's could have been original pre and war time design's.
    Thanks Winkelman for the input!

    Let me second that!

I had only ever seen this badge in the poor quality fake version and must admit I had not thought it could actually be based on something real.

There's certainly a world of difference in terms of quality between the item that started the thread and the one posted by Winkelman.

The fake badge as posted used to be sold by Delta International in the 1970's / 1980's. It's pictured in my old December 1986 Delta catalog, as item nr. #114 "Nordic Traditions Badge", described in their sales pitch as "consisting of symbols from the ancient Norsemen, many of which symbols were adapted by the NSDAP & Northern European supporters." Same markings, same floppy pin.
