    This one is a transfer onto the enamel top which you can see if you look carefully.

    Wow, good eye Paul. When I first looked at it, I thought it was just a reflection since the piece is round. But I believe it is indeed a sticker and not painted.

    It is a transfer yes. It belongs to a friend who reckons his granddad brought it back from ww2 but I'm not sure!! The germans liked a drink tho lol!

    These fantasy items, made in Poland, were inspired by similar but genuine Luftwaffe marked bottles.

    One of the most common things found in the trenches on the eastern front aside from ammo are bottles of all types of booze !!
