These came out of the woodwork and I'm not sure as to authenticity. Story goes that deceased ww2 vet obtained from supply depot as unissued. Got from the widow. Came as 2 pair each with matching blank tab. Have had opinions both ways so far so I am asking the experts here. I will go with majority rule. I am a new collector and the dealer I purchased from is local and agreed to take them back if I found out or felt that they weren't authentic period pieces. What say you?

What time period are you suggesting these were made? Anything specific you can point out that sets these apart as reproduction in your opinion.

There a lot of fakers sits and learn how the original must look like. Surely, they are all handmade, but all of them is made with specific cardboard templates under embroidery. Also the materials used and the similarity in the work are very recognizible. Take a look at some threads where we have posted originals, you can use the search for that.
