It is a Wachtmantel and unless you see signs of an arm eagle, it could have been worn by anyone.
It is similar to my example.

Searching for anything relating to, Anton Boos, 934 Stamm. Kp. Pz. Erz. Abt. 7, 3 Kompanie, Panzer-Regiment 2, 16th Panzer-Division (My father)
We have other examples of SS overcoats here, of earlier vintage, mind you, but the helmet man had what I thought was an SSVT overcoat with the proper stamps.
We went through the exercise a few years ago with a lot of illustrations. I do not collect uniforms after 1939, so I am hors de combat with this task.
Bob Coleman is much more at home with Waffen SS, than am I. And there are others here, too.
Such as the evidence of these photos stands, I do not see an SS connection and the shoulder board button is more Deutsches Heer, is it not?
Via our very stalwart Dr. CMH is the Schnittmuster of the black and early grey coats, though they also adhered to the army cut, as well.

I own five of these things, ergo my generalizations, but they are all very black, indeed.
Mollo Vol. VI has images of overcoats, by the way....That is, pattern drawings.
