I have just bought this SS Matchbox holder, nice item and just to share, any comments/ infos are welcome

This holder is made of yellowmetal with an SS propaganda label on it and a stamp of RZM on the back side. These matchbox holders were given to Wehrmacht soldiers to arose patrioticfeelings and keep their spirits up. The holder served as a talisman for the soldiersas well as remainder of their homeland

Fantasy item, as said above "4th Reich" and likely produced in Poland. There are various forms, including NSDAP variants but of course, plenty of "SS" marked pieces.

The engraved image is not a "Propaganda label" but in fact SS Germanic Proficiency Runes that were awarded as a sports badge to members of the Germanic-SS. The award was issued in a bronze and silver grade, depending on the physical prowess displayed by the person so awarded and has no connection whatsoever to "arrousing patriotic feelings and keep spirits up" amongst any Wehrmacht soldiers. The RZM stamp is also totally erroneous on such an item as this. As for the Poland connection, well that or Latvia, or China, or India, or........

    Regards, Ned.

Flatten it out a bit with a hammer, will make a sinister money clip.
