Since the the close of the year 2013, I have found an early SS cap, i.e. from the SS Gruppe West as made by Isken in Koeln. You also see the RZM circular from June 1934 about standardization of such caps. Mr. Chris Stonemint
alerted me to this cap, for which I thank him.

I also acquired this cap, ex the Pepera collection, but I think it is of a later date than the Cologne SS Gruppe West cap. I thank my colleague, Mr. Paul S. for his kind aid with this cap.

The ex Pepera cap has the four ventilation holes of metal.
