This kepi was made to be worn by members of the SS during traditions rallies and other events, where the proscribed uniform was the old-style uniform, denoted by the brown shirt, and black kepi. This cap was discovered with a few others, in a costume company storeroom in Europe recently.

German costume houses in theaters have often had real things. I have found them there myself.

However, Bob is an authority in kepis, and I defer to his analysis.
