About LinkBacksG'day all, can anyone help me with this? i think it looks more like a post war lid but i don't know if they made beady's at that point in time or if Quist was still working?

Re: Beaded M40 What was the point of the bead? Excuse the question, but my knowledge of helmets is very limited.

Re: Beaded M40 Hi Tom, it was done when a helmet batch was found to be balistically sub standard. The bead was pressed in place to show this. But they were plenty good enough for home front use.
