Well, I am far from convinced. For starters it is an M40.

I don't like the paint, nor the decals, nor the liner.

    Double decal M40's are rare.

    Cheers, Ade.

Decals looks too good compared to the rest of the helmet imo. And as Ade points out - it's a double decal M40 helmet. These are very rare. Also, the liner looks maybe also a little too good compared to the rest?

I might be wrong, i'm no expert :/

Look at the liner: see how it is butt joined together Not good.

    Cheers, Ade.

PS: don't be afraid to name a dealer. I do not allow witch hunts here. Items simply have to stand on their own merits. But naming a dealer is OK within forum rules.

i will try to make some better shots tomorrow...and about naming a dealer, i personally never give names out in public without asking that person.
If he/she has nothing to hide they wont mind, but i always ask just because i would like that too if it were me

I've owned just one in my life, I will say most known examples I saw- I was sceptic, I think a lot of post war added national shields. Most of the helmets I personaly saw it's a 35 model (made in 1940 year), with M 40 liner made from aluminium, and single decal, but not M40 with double decal, due of M 40 helmets was made after the regulations of discontinue to use national shield. I've owned one original battlefield find Q type helmet, probably they begin producing a little bit earlier than others. I would like to see closeup pictures of eagle decal, that will answer for all our questions. Let's wait before we make a last decission

The whole helmet is wrong. I'm with Ade, and Dave on this one, it looks to be artificially ages. And as already stated double decal M40? Hens teeth springs to mind
