Re: M40 Luftwaffe Camo No there was no story with the helmet.It was in a collection in the US than was in a collection in Norway.Now its back in the US in my collection.I liked it because it looks a bit salty and the liner is original to the helmet.There was a issued Camo paste type finish the germans applyed in the field.I believe they mixed it with water.I think this helmet was done it that finish.
