Thanks a lot. Sure seems plausible. I only remember seeing the resistance in Danish helmets and could not imagine they would ever put a German lid on

    Nice looking M42 Luftwaffe
Thanks Lars, I put them in order of quality - The M42 luft is my best, then the SD M40 ( ex SSamir ) then the rough painted ND M42 then a couple of other ND M42s and down the wall to the sad old M35 at the end.

Nice group you have there Dan, I also really like the '42 luft.
If anyone would like a custom piece of artwork for your war room please let me know! I am currently doing A2 sized sketches of a subject of your choice. Either copy an existing picture or create a scene based on your brief. Details in the 'other militaria' section of the classifieds.

I also have a deac Mk1 (1941) Enfield Bren gun & Transit case for sale, mint condition. Also looking for trade offers. UK only I'm afraid.

I agree with you Dan, all the relic helmets do tell a story from when the soldier was down in war to it being lost and never found until now.

This is the very nice thing about relic helmets and battlefield relics in general. They have soul and "mystique" in them. Left where they were used by the men carrying them. This is why i love relics and digging the battlefields.
