    Lol, I have to admit, I didnt get that at first !! In my defence, " Moi " was only quoting Chairman Mao Zedong, " The first step of any journey is always the longest "

    So get ya asses in gear ya lazy people !

    Before erasing my signature I wanted to take a few shots of it at a other (historical) place.
    Took it to Wilrijk, the place where I spent most of my youth when we where in Belgium.
    Antwerp is surrounded by late 19 th century fort's, most still remain!
    National redoubt of Belgium - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
    Most of them were armed by flak units (durring occupation!)and under Luftwaffe command.
    One of them was a munition depot holding , among many others sorts, the V bombs ammo.
    The man in charge a Fort 7 (Wilrijk) was Luftwaffe major Wilhelm Metzger; who refused to blow up the fort before being captured on 4 september 1944. Insted, before surrending, he dumped everything in the water surrounding the fort. Thise prevented Wilrijk of a great devastation.
    The place was liberated by kolonel Frederic Slater of the British Liberation Army, helped with local resistance.
    May be I would have better asked thise girl to take my pictures....

    Still very controversial to walk around with a german WWII helmet in Antwerp!
    Even when taking pictures of it ....
    When I took the pictures at the remembrance stone people stopped and asked if the helmet had always been there....??
    Some looked suprised when I took it back to the car....
    Lucky these guy's weren't there when I took the pic's;
