Hiya guys, sorry about the late reply, I've had a lot of problems with the internet, which has affected my picture upload. I've had to lower the size/quality of the pictures, hopefully it will work now:
The trip to Bergen was very enjoyable, only one problem... I forgot my SD card, so I was only able to take a very limited amount of pictures.
The helmet couldn't pose in all the pictures, since there were a lot of people around, and waving a German helmet around might not have been the smartest thing...

Naval monument(Should have gotten some better pictures, oh well).

Sea mine, and monument to all the Norwegian sailors who died in the First World War. Even though we were neutral, we lost a very large amount of ships and over 2000 men. It was originally meant for people to put money into it to support the sailors, but had to be closed because it was being used as a dust bin.

You did well to get those pics mate, I can imagine you would feel a bit funny wandering around there with a German lid The city looks nice, reminds me slightly of parts of Amsterdam.

And finally a trip to Tellevik coastal fortress yesterday:
I remembered the SD card this time, but I forgot to load the battery, and it went dead after the first 2 pictures... So I had to use my phone instead:

I thought that too. It must be the hills and mountains.....Evocative.

Things have been rather quiet from my end for a while, and for that I must apologize. I just haven't taken the time, or had the ability, due to my bad internet connection to upload pictures of the helmet's journey.

Here are pictures from it's journey to Fjell fortress( Fjell Fortress - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ):

I had to have a peek inside one of the bunkers, something I shouldn't have done, hehe. Once I got in, I saw some stairs leading down, I follow them and find the tunnel system, that's when my "WW2 adrenaline" kicks in The tunnel system was gigantic, with a ladder leading to a gun emplacement(pictured), there were also a lot of remains of ammo crates, pipes etc. If only my boots didn't have holes in them
