    Hi Guys,

    picked up this M42 yesterday.
Hope you like it. The liner is in good shape.
The outside has been abused quite a bit. Som damage, but of course the red colour someone once upon a time unfortunately put on.
The red colour is wasco, or I think in english it is called crayolas. Good thing about this is that it can come of easy.
Any thoughts on how to remove this without damaging original paint?

Nice lid apart from the crayon. I would try just warm water, a rough sponge and maybe some washing up liquid.

Wax comes off with while spirit! ... it won't affect the paint but will remove wax ( crayons )
( learnt that years ago when the kids let loose with crayons on their bedroom wall )

    Sorry, I meant WHITE spirit!
Still, take it easy - don't drown it.

You could try heating it with a hair dryer and then blotting the wax off with kitchen towel or similar. Hot water would also work.

Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Hope you guys like it. Still a bit of cleaning left. Where it sits in the cracks it proves difficult to clean.
