Afrika Korp helmet ID needed

I'm looking to ID a "shield" on an afrika korp helmet. The helmet is a M1940 NS66 with a "Schuberth werk" 1940 liner . It has hand painted shields. A national with XXI is probably the 21st panzer div. Can anyone help with the other . Desert scene with a palm and Buidling maybe. I'm still searching

The insignia appears to be the same 'Mosque & minaret' one that is shown here, HE 111 & ME109 wreck pic.

Other than that, i'm affraid i can't help with the XXI bit. Nice looking lid though!

That's not a real DAK helmet. Any pics of the inside ?

Here's some new photos. It has the early "apple green" color both inside and underneath the "DAK" external color. It appears to have been given a laquer or shellac coat at one time . note the darker yellowing. The left rear black marks are schrapnel damage. Same to liner. It was spray painted black as a biker helmet at some point. Just recently "clean" it .

Thanks for the additional pics but apple green is only found on M35's. That looks more like Norwegian post war green with a Norwegian red dyed leather liner.

You mean the NS stamp ? Yes the shell itself is wartime made.
