The insignia appears to be the same 'Mosque & minaret' one that is shown here, HE 111 & ME109 wreck pic.
Other than that, i'm affraid i can't help with the XXI bit. Nice looking lid though!

I'm sorry but I meant to say post war painted.
Thanks for the additional pics but apple green is only found on M35's. That looks more like Norwegian post war green with a Norwegian red dyed leather liner.

You mean the NS stamp ? Yes the shell itself is wartime made.
