Good evening everyone, the 'is it real or fake' post tonight is my Afrikakorps pith helmet. I picked it up at an auction several years ago. I assume it should have some sort of liner but none was with it when I acquired it.

Looks like a felt second pattern. Liner was really just a glorified sweat band. Apparently it fell out. NH
I hope it was padded, the screw on top pokes right into the top of the head.

Hi, looks like a good original piece that is just missing it's interior lining as you have pointed out. Leon.
