Welcome Criss ..Australia is generally more expensive than on the net,but with our falling currency it wont be long before its cheaper to buy in Oz...the choice is much better overseas, i would try the forums here, generally good prices and you can always ask the right questions..There are many places online, just always post them here first and steer clear of ebay

Check this link to another thread on this forum. These are reliable helmet dealers, especially Ken N and Dave Shirlin. You can get a very nice, complete M42 without a decal for $4-600, depending on dealer and condition. A no decal M42 is a good starter helmet for a collection. Lightweight black fire police helmets are also a good starter helmet, but it's a civil helmet, not combat weight. They can be had in good condition for $3-400. Good luck with the search and be prepared to buy a bunch, I don't know anyone who has bought a helmet and stopped after one

Who is the best online dealer of German Helmets?

Excellent advice. Can't beat it, not even with a stick! There is only one dealer on Doug's list that I don't deal with, but that's for personal reasons; his helmets tend to be legit.

With the above Ken N is the best imo but depends on the helmet just like anywhere/anyone else. part of the fun is hunting down the item yourself and you don't pay as much of course.
I don't mind eban a lot of people find helmets and just sell them hoping to make a little you never know,, on the downside their ban on decals is short sighted pc imo.

"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

Shows down here will help also as you can meet the locals , have found the majority of my collection this way, and if you are close to where I live, the old Camberwell flea market can help but needs determinate will there! I scored a WW1 M17 there recently
