    Hi Guys,
This was found in a box as shown.
I believe it is an Austrian transitional?
Green sand paint, leather appears to be marked 57, pot appears to be stamped 66 or maybe 994?

I humbly ask the experts their opinions?

Thanks You and Happy New Year

Thank you I am actually a little excited about this one I love the condition.
I’m guessing it’s early? any reason why it would not have been a double decal?
Not sure I understand single and double decals on German combat helmets?
Probably will not be able to keep it but at least I got to own/exam it for a time.

    Thanks again

Paint and decal style points to a 42-43 reissue. The liner date will help you if you can read it if not don't worry about it it will be 42-43 from most I have seen like this.
