Austro-hungarian M1916 (???) found in Afghanistan

Hallo Kumpels

Got this helmet for ound r70 USD at ebay. Supposedly it was retrieved by an US soldier in Afghanistan, and now it ended up in Mexico.. This lid sure likes to travel..

Any comments on this? Did i pay well What do i kneed to know bout this helmet?

I think the nazis used this helmet too, i saw Himmler & Heydrich using the same austrian version

Nice helmet ,This is the first Austrian helmet that I have seen brought back from Afghanistan.I have only seen German made.
