Beach trip finds

Article about: The chinstrap (not the leather holding the strap) looks like the actual strap maybe it came off, the little metal buckle looks just like the ones on the fire helmets.

    That's a varation chinstrap seen on fire helmets I have collector friend that has several Ludwig Baer in his fire police helments book explains and shows them. Scabbard appears for fighting knife and could be a repo hard to say. timothy

    I have found a buckle almost exactly like mine mine is the more box shaped buckle the oval is the one I found

    One of the rivits holding the liner in is marked either IKA 44 or LKA 44 that's the only other mark I can find but I'll keep looking
