Beach trip finds

Article about: The chinstrap (not the leather holding the strap) looks like the actual strap maybe it came off, the little metal buckle looks just like the ones on the fire helmets.

    Also when I bought it the woman that sold it to me said that the blade was messed with so I guess someone tried to clean it or something like that.

    Ouch, that *****, I hate when people do that to these. I had one that was very ground down by what looked to have been a wheel grinder he had in his garage! He probably did it right before he sold it so it was nice and sharp! Ugh...

    You can find them on eBay every once In a while. Also, I blew up one of the pics you posted and I can make out part of the first word of the motto, "blut" but all I can see is a little bit of the 'B' ,most of the 'L' , part of the 'U' and 'T'.That's fairly good news, I suppose.
