I think these KM artillerymen may have burlap covers on their helmets.

Was the burlap held in place only by chicken wire ? I have never seen photo of burlap held by anything else.
Looking for following WWII German items:
    - anything dealing with Allenstein (Olsztyn) and Wehrkreis I in East Prussia,
    - entrenching tool carrier (straight and folding),
    - forestry and hunting items,

I have a book here at home that features a burlap cover, held down by a half basket and sprayed with a Normandy style camo. Beautiful helmet!

It looks like a Normandy beach Chris. I can't think where else it could be, especially with the long flat beach and the obstacles like that.
