Hi !
Got an helmets from a very good friend on mine with a very pretty good story ... my problem is I can't believe it (the decal, the fact it is fully paint on the inside...)
... (I hope he is not reading this since it is a present) ...
Can you please give me your opinion on it ?

Cammo blends well with the table and perfectly with the walls.....Did you have some paint left over???

lid that was used to create this impression.

Hi, well I hope the story was nothing to do with this being an original SS cammo because it is not! I would guess that this helmet was re-worked quite recently. Just look at those identical tool marks and the perfectly even "wear" level around the rim, I think that area was masked off when the helmet was re-sprayed. They even took the liner out to re-spray inside to complete the "brand new" look!! Still, if it was a gift then it's better than a pair of socks! Leon.

I'd strip it down to reveal what's underneath.
I have no big expectations of what is under the paint ;-) ...
