I currently have a post about a question helmet, because.. Well.. I don't know didley squat about German helmets. I can show you the ins and outs of an M1, but German helmets are so valuable and heavily faked that I was too intimidated to even study up. Wondering if anyone can suggest some threads on here that could educate me on WW1 and WW2 helmets, decals, and maybe even camos? I would love to expand my collection but don't want a shelf full of fakes. Thanks in advance for help.

Start here, its about SS helmets but applies to helmets in general.

And after reading that, just start perusing the Steel helmet section and you will find a TON of original german helmets, and some fake ones. Don't be intimidated, become educated.

Losing time aint nothing compared to the money you're going to be losing buying German helmets!

Study german helmets first before buying.
I would try to stay away from camo helmet at first.
