    Hi guys,

What say ye of this chinstrap? There is corrosion and dry rot and it smells old, but this is a very common fake maker mark, so I worry.

    Thanks,
    Mo

Hi Mo, hard to say, but there is no sign of stretching to the "eye's" from use, so that would be a concern for me if this is a known type of strap for being faked. Leon.

Agreed, and the 'fuzz' to the edges doesn't indicate age also. But chinstraps scare me, as the nuances between original and quality fake are known only to a select few.

Good points being mentioned by our friends above...the fuzz on the edge and the holes raise suspicions. I speculate that the stitching was dirtied up on purpose as well...But as stated further, Chinstraps have become such a minefield these days that I dare not state anything with 100% certainty...

the deep stamping is also a concern. I would not buy it as Original this strap.
