Chinstrap verification

Can anyone tell me if this one is an original chinstrap or repro?

could be a latvian repro as it looks very similar to one i have. appears to be aged.

Looks ok, but i am 50-50 on this. I have a original, and maker marks/date stamps have worn off. I will get my chin strap and compare them. See if i can find something.

Compared to mine, the buckle looks different.

Is that one on eBay? If it is listed as being from Latvia or any of those surrounding countries, than I would pass. They make fakes out the arse and sell them as originals.

Thanks a bunch for all your replies. This one was for sale on ebay and I made a pass on it.

The seller guarantee of the originality and with almost 2000 feedbacks and 99,8 % positive I thought the strap had a good chance. Once again it is proved that ebay is a danger place to trade especially if your eyes don’t have that much of experience yet.

Thank you I have both 1938 liner and helmet to go with it. Just some separate pics of the strap. The leather in the liner is unfortunately missing
