Article about: Hello all, I have seen this helmet for sale and any comments would be great help. Not sure if decal KM or Heer? Can't make out the lot number chinstrap looks fine. original gray/green paint

    It's Heer in my opinion; It looks like a heavily toned Pocher.

    Hello Mike,

    There is an excellent thread on the forum that highlights the subtle differences between the Heer and Kriegsmarine decals. Using some fantastic magnification, the shots show the gold flakes and 3D-esque appearance of the KM decal beautifully, especially around the swastika. Have a quick look and I'm sure that the thread will help you.

    Im thinking Heer as well, otherwise a nice looking helmet

    Agreed with dave, it looks to be a toned Heer, but its a cracking lid.

    Thanks all for the comments. I was leaning towards heer but wanted to be sure.
    I do not own any KM and I did do research but was still on the edge.
