wow Chris I like this one a lot!!! A hard to find transitional droopbill in excellent condition. What's the story on this one if you don't mind me asking? The m27 style liner and commercial shell with ARMY DECALS is a mystery to me. Are there any stamps along the underskirt? Great helmet

The liner is typical of this type of helmet,I be live that all commercially made droopbill helmets were made by ANG.
The other DD Heer droopbill helmets that I have seen have a factory green paint, this one has a grey hand painted shell.Mostly seen on DD police droopbill.I think they were mostly used just like DD transitional and parade.
