As im still learning,found this Helmet being sold as an m40 camo,no visible makers stamp but has rear neck number,the seller states it has a decal Heer but I can't see nothing but is it completely original?thanks in advance for your time...........

That cammo's effective....I can't even see it. Helmet looks o.k. though.

Looks like a good shell and liner to me I think the chin strap may have been changed post war? I would wait for some others to come along and see what they say

Hi Jake , it looks like an honest enough M40 (if a touch rusty), I have certainly seen worse and this one does have the added bonus of not having had a fake decal slapped on it. It is in it's nice plain no decal specification. Leon.
Thanx guys but at £650 or best offer,no way me thinks when comparing prices to ww2germanhelmets,£250 seems nearer the true honest mark,but I dont think the seller will have any of it.......
Price is too strong, otherwise an honest (non camo) M40 Quist ND.
Yes on "Q"....they made M40's till wars end. This one seems late....note its blackish finish to inside shell. My 2 cents.
£650 seems extremely steep. Maybe he doesn't really want to sell it!
