Thought to whack in an army cover I knowingly acquired today as a gap filler, made from original shelter quarter material to be a field made type.
Note the freshly cut foliage loops. passes black lights

I know this is For german Helmets, but does anyone here Know Italian? I'm well aware the paint has at the very least been touched up if not completely redone, but I'm intrested to know if the liner is orginal. It checks out from what I've read about warning signs, but I wanted an opinion
Interior is hastily khaki painted, so it is an early NATO era repaint of a good pre 1945 M33 with second type (wartime proper) rivets and correct pre 1945 chinstrap (and a possibly wartime leather, there being no metal grommets ... check if sewing of leather has a Z pattern or just two paralell line of stitching, latter plus no grommets is surely pre 1945).
Most pre 1945 M33 were reused until the nineties along with some newly made ones, with any possible match of postwar and pre-surrender hardware.
