Nice, I agree the decal is very beautiful

Wally,
I'm a bit concerned with this decal. First, it appears to have been added after there was damage / wear to the underlying paint.
Second, while I am weak on LS decals, I have compared to what I have in my reference library and it does not appear to be original. Best wait for others to confirm.

I'm glad you chimed in Michael,
I'm not a Helmet guy, But I do know them and can see the same flaws with this one.
The decal looks brand new when the helmet shows its age with patina and flaking of paint. How does that happen???
Looking at the pic's I had saved from this site of originals and reproductions I will say I see the difference between the real one and this one posted.
Your does not match.
Disclaimer here: I am not an expert on these and I am just providing what I am seeing.
Wait for a Professional chime in.

Fonts/style of the lettering, dots on the upper wing and a few others. I'm sure there are quite a few more that escaped my novice eye, I'm just going off what I see versus other examples.
And per your "How does that Happen???".... It doesn't

what I noticed was the wing feather separation between the 2nd and 3rd wing tips.
I saved pic's from threads here on Real or Fake Luftshultz decals
Just something I learned here!

Sorry to say this but the decal is most definitely a reproduction. Try to get a refund if possible. Jim G.

Thank you everyone for the input. I was bound to miss on a helmet one day, but a lesson learned is a lesson earned.
