Is it German?

I got a call from a friend, who said that he found a WW 2 German helmet at his late uncle house (WW2 vet). When I took a look at it, it didn’t look like any German helmet which I ever seen.

It is German - I believe it to be a Civil 'square dip' M34 helmet.........

I agree looks like they tore the liner out but not the straps

This is an RLB helmet judging from the paint, and the single rivet directly under the salt shaker vent holes. The paint is original, and maybe even the chinstrap...I could tell you with a close up photo. The insignia has been removed unfortunately, but still it is in very nice shape I think. Cool find
