German Helmet?

Any info on this helmet would be appreciated. I have had it since the early 80`s but am not sure whether or not it is a post war repaint helmet, thank you, nic.

IMO it is repainted and the chinstrap it's a replacment.Dont know about the liner

As mentioned it has been repainted, has the wrong chinstrap and it is a M40 and I think the liner might be good.

Possibly BGS they used surplus ww2 early if it is not marked in skirt BGS if marked in skirt Q, SE ET etc reworked BGS. timothy
