This is a Finnish issued German style helmet. Judging from the the shape and vent holes, does this seem like a German wartime manufacture shell? The paintjob and everything else are obviously postwar Finnish.
Also, can you tell by the picture what size it could be? The seller cant find the marks.

The vent looks like an M40 but I am not sure what else can be said from just this one pic Have you got an interior pic or any others?
its just an opinion.
Thanks! Here's more pics.
M40 most likely made by "Q". Impossible to guess the size.

Looks like the helmets that IMA and the collectible knife catalogs have been selling. NH
Good example of Finn helmet offered by a few surplus dealers IMA being one of them or at least at one time. timothy
Its one of the Finnish used helmets the only way to tell if a wartime shell is look for the number stamped i the rear of the shell and the maker and size stamp if the seller cant find them maybe a German M55 shell Finland used alot of them also
Postwar produced shell from Quist it should be a 64, the rim shape and vent lugs are unmistakable imo.
