German helmet M40

Hi all , my German helmet m40 .... I think it should be original, the shell, but I'm not sure about the decals .....

My screen is not perfect for judging but it looks like it could be a good bigfoot decal particular to the Quist firm. I'll check again when I get home.

Looks like it may be a re-issued lid with a texture paint added. Any sign of the national colors on the other side? NH

Nice textured Q66 . Funny how the area around the decal looks smoother than the rest. I don't know if that means anything but just kind of interesting. Possibly it was done after texture was added in order for the decal to adhere properly?

I like it, looks like a good BF with a nice combat worn/damaged appearance to me.
Also looks like it has had a textured overpaint that the decal has been masked out for.
What does the size inkstamp on the liner read? It may just be the angle of the shot, but it looks like a 56.

It does look more painted around, I really like it.

It is an M40, so there won't be a National Colors decal on the right. The "big foot" Adler is good., as is the zinc liner. Jim G.
