Hi , I have to say that is one "honest" battle damaged M40 HEER helmet, so rare to see one! Most are "pick axe" or "fence post pot shots"!! I personally would pay more for this one than a nice "minty" job!
I like this one very much.

A great battle damaged M40 for an even better price! I don't think the owner was wearing it when the damaged occurred as with the experience I've had with these the bullet usually gets lodged in the ll and doesn't come out the other side. And that's based on ground dug helmets not potential fenceposters.
